Dell introduces Latitude Z as the thinnest and lightest laptop in the world in a class of 16” laptop.

It seems the race of making thinnest laptop in the world get hotter. After MacBook Air and other Dell’s laptop, Adamo, another laptop type appears. Dell seems never stops creating its advanced product by bringing theme ‘high portability’ for their every next laptop. Let us see what is so special with Dell Latitude Z laptop.

Dell Latitude Z released to the market in 3 packages, they are

Basic Package: base package

Business Package: Dell says this is the first laptop in the world with wireless inductive charging stand

Productivity Package: faster processor and more memory capacity.
Each package comes out with different specification according to the needs of user. With thickness starts from 14.55mm and weight is 2.0 kg. Amazing yeah….If you see the design Dell Latitude Z has different shape cut from most laptop. It is thinner at display and keyboard part, but thicker at the back where display panel stands on, which puts at this part is a kind of peripheral connector like telephone or LAN and power plugged in. One more important is that Dell put Genuine Windows® 7 as Dell Latitude Z operation system. This is new system

There are 3 options at least Dell offer from Latitude Z.

First - EdgeTouch™ LCD sensor which make you easier scrolling every web sheet and interact with frequently used applications. This tool sits conveniently on the side of your screen.

Second - Roomy, gesture-enabled touchpad to zoom, rotate and surf through your work with ease.

Third – Easy Scan and Copy with 2MP Autofocus webcam so you could save and copy document to pdf type easily. With Dell Capture Technology you could scan document paper wherever you are and save it to pdf type. I like this part because for faster work without regarding too much about sharp resolution image you do not have to plug in scanner. The webcam also works as Dell FaceAware™ Lock-out:  Facial-recognition security “locks” your system when you step away. (this is only available with optional integrated webcam.)

Separated Optical Drive

To win its lightest and thinnest laptop then the optical drive becomes as external part. Plus other parts except standard one, power adapter, there is also another accessories like auto air adapter and accessory dongles.
